Currently, there are two ways to cook rice properly. First, the traditional way is by cooking which requires two cooking processes. Second, the modern way is to use a rice cooker.
How to cook white rice
Here's how to cook traditional white rice, you can follow.
1. Wash the rice thoroughly. Before sorting, it would be better if you first before removing small stones, grain, or other impurities that are stuck between the grains of rice.
2. After it feels clean, put the rice into the pot. Next, add clean water until one index finger is above the surface of the rice.

5. After stirring, turn on the rice cooker again and set the 'Warm' mode to keep the rice warm. Rice is ready to be served.
How to cook brown rice
Brown rice generally comes with a different texture to white rice. Brown rice has a less fluffier texture and is slightly hard and dry.
To be more fluffier, here's how to process brown rice that you can try.
1. Soak the rice in water for 60 minute. Previously, you could sort the rice in advance to remove any dirt stuck between the grains of rice.
2. Discard the water and wash the rice thoroughly with running water.
3. Put the rice in a saucepan, and add clean water until one index finger is above the surface of the rice.
4. Cook on medium heat, don't forget to keep stirring.
5. While waiting, prepare the steaming pot. Put the water under the filter in the steamer.
6. After the brown rice is half cooked, remove it and transfer it to the steaming pot.
7. Steam the rice for about 15-30 minutes, depending on the amount of rice.
8. Rice is ready to be served.
